Our ASA Award Winning Instructors are passionate about sailing and living the cruising lifestyle. We have certified thousands of students since 1999 with our unique liveaboard classes for beginners and experienced sailors who want to become experts at sailing Catamarans. Our goal is to teach our sailors to be confident and competent so they are ready to charter or buy a cruising Catamaran anywhere in the world!
Sailing Classes for Newbies
Basic Keelboat is where it all begins, where you get the fundamentals of sailing worked out. And from there, WCM will get you on catamarans as quickly as possible, depending on where you want your sailing journey to take you.
Get Catamaran Certified
If you’ve been sailing a while, and have a catamaran charter coming up (with WCM, perhaps?), you’re required by most charter companies to have ASA 114 or equivalent, plus suitable experience. We can help get you there, whether it’s a quick two-day course, or as part of a longer Learn-to-Sail Vacation.

ASA 101 is where your sailing education begins. The multi-day combo courses have surged in popularity in recent years. All include ASA 101 – Basic Keelboat, and advance you through the additional courses covering cruising skills, boat systems, navigation, weather, safety and more over the following days. When complete, you’ll have the certifications you need to go out and get the sailing experience you’re craving.
Sailing Classes for Charter Catamaran Certification
Your gateway to bareboat cat charters around the world
We teach all but ASA 101 on full size modern catamarans, the size and type used in bareboat charter programs around the world. Most charter companies require that you have training on full size catamarans to be qualified to charter their boats.
Whether you’re planning a tropical getaway or a longer cruise, ASA 114 equips you with the specialized skills needed to cruise confidently on a catamaran.

These full courses and combo classes have proven incredibly popular with brand new sailors looking to escape the rat race on a catamaran, as well as seasoned sailors looking to brush up on skills before departing over the horizon on their own. These are intensive, fun and thrilling chunks of time on a modern cruising catamaran, where you can easily develop needed skills and gain sea time.
WCM Sailing Clinics and Advanced Courses
Fun clinics for brushing up on particulars, and Advanced courses to fill in your sailing skill set.
Sailing clinics with WCM are a fun way to spend a day on the water and come away with new skills and confidence. Clinics are run by our award-winning ASA instructors on one of our modern cruising catamarans, and can include refreshers, docking and anchoring, or spinnaker clinics.
Advanced ASA classes are an excellent way to polish your sailing CV, and give you increased knowledge and competence in specific areas like celestial navigation, coastal piloting, night sailing and more.
